John E. Kyle, 66, of Champaign, Illinois died Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at home.  John was born September 24, 1951 to Edwin and Viola Kyle in Oregon City, Oregon.

He is survived by his sister, Brenda Husler of Urbana, his sons, Michael Kyle (and wife Karen, two granddaughters and a grandson) of Bush, Louisiana and Kelly Dupont (and four granddaughters) of Bogalusa, Louisiana.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta Wheat Kyle, and his parents.

John was an Army veteran from the Vietnam era and received excellent care from the VA.  He enjoyed crime shows, NASCAR, cars, and he loved his pug, Fred.  John had been disabled for the last ten years of his life.
