John Harris Darnall Sr. 68, of Fisher died at 11:10 p.m. Saturday, July 14, 2007 at Provena Covenant Medical Center, Urbana.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, Urbana, Pastor Derrick Ford officiating. Burial will at Mt. Olive Cemetery, Mayview. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Darnall was born on April 10, 1939 in Champaign, the son of Frank Lee and Daisy Irene Harris Darnall. He married Nedra Lee Franklin on April 25, 1959 in Urbana, she survives.

Also surviving are two sons; John Darnall Jr. of Fisher, Harold Darnall of Urbana, two daughters; Nedra J. (Carol) Darnall of Englewood, CO, Tina (Fred) Zook of Rantoul, five brothers; Frank Darnall of Schaumburg, Robert Darnall of Monticello, Clifford Darnall of Champaign, Harold Darnall of Rantoul and Jack Darnall of Windsor, CO, two sisters, JoAnn Cloud of Houston, MO and Hilma Ridgley of Maroa, IL, twelve grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son and two granddaughters.

Mr. Darnall was a carpenter for Arnett Construction.
