John E. Dahlin 67 of Champaign died at 4:59 p.m. Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Celebration of Life services will be held at a later date. Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, Urbana is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Dahlin was born on July 5, 1950 in Pekin, the son of Arthur and Minnie Evelyn Roberts Dahlin.

Survivors include two daughters; Britt Marie Dahlin of Champaign and Christine Nappi of Frisco, Texas, three grandchildren; Aliya Acree, Reese Wilson and Jennifer Bane, one great grandson; Brody Bane, brother in-law; Charles Bell of Maryland and his dear friend Edwin Cook.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister; Kirsten Lynn Bell.

Mr. Dahlin retired from H.J. Heinz Co. as a regional manager.

He loved to read, talk to people, work on computers, his dog Lucy and his cat Lizzie along with the stray cat.
