Joanne Carolyn Panepinto, 81, of Urbana passed away at 9:08 p.m. on Sunday, September 18, 2016 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.

Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel & Crematory in Urbana. Rev. Father Joseph Hogan will officiate. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. prior to the funeral. Cremation Rites will be accorded and burial will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Urbana.

Joanne was born on December 14, 1934 in Urbana to parents Sherman Wilson and Marie Helen (Witt) McDade. They preceded her in death. On September 29, 1956 she married Joseph I. Panepinto in Joliet, IL, he passed away on November 4, 2013. Also preceding her in death was her son James Francis Panepinto, brother Ronald McDade and grandson Demetrius.

She is survived by her sons Allen Panepinto of Urbana and Tom Panepinto (Sue) of Hollister, MO, her daughter Rose Panepinto of Champaign, brothers Wesley McDade (Theresa) of Birmingham, AL and Richard Lee McDade (Kay) of Tuscola and her sister Jeanne Kay Campbell (Bob) of Birmingham, AL. Ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren also survive her.

Joanne was a graduate of Illinois School for the Deaf in Jacksonville, IL. She worked in food service at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana for twenty-six and a half years and is a member of the Illinois Association of the Deaf (IAD), Senior Citizen Club and St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Urbana.
