Joan C. Warren 74 of Champaign died at 10:15 p.m. Thursday, September 6, 2012 at home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at the Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, Urbana, Major John Turner will officiate. Burial will be in the Danville National Cemetery, Danville. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. There will be a Celebration of Life from 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Baytown Clubhouse, Champaign.

Mrs. Warren was born on April 14, 1938 in Champaign, the daughter of Oscar and Dortha Casey Jarvis. She married William Warren Sr. on June 10, 1956 in Champaign; he survives.

Also surviving are two sons; William (Michelle) Warren Jr. and Johnny (Michelle) Warren both of Champaign and one granddaughter; Krista (Bobby) Burger of Redondo Beach, California.

She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

Mrs. Warren worked for 22 years as a cashier for Jewel-Eisner and then for 25 years as the office manager for the Salvation Army.

She was a member of the Salvation Army and the Women's Auxiliary.

She was an avid St. Louis Cardinal Fan and Illini Sports.

Mrs. Warren enjoyed, cooking, Precious Moments figurines, reading traveling, country music, the Food Network and Reality TV.

She loved her family.
