Jerome Anthony (Jerry) Rasmussen, age 75, of Urbana, Illinois passed away early Monday, November 13, 2017 in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Jerry was a veteran of the U S Marine Corp. He attended St. Mary's Catholic School and Urbana High School Jerry was a graduate of the University of Illinois.

He was retired from County Market in Urbana after 28 years of service. Jerry was an avid Cubs and Illini fan. He was a voracious reader and loved to play Euchre.

Jerry is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Rasmussen; son, Erik Rasmussen; parents, Louis and Margaret Lucille (Brown) Rasmussen.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Danielia Rasmussen-Dorcas and Dana Dorcas of Knoxville, TN; daughter-in-law, Lisa Cubbage-Rasmussen of Champaign, Illinois; grandchildren, Courtney Rasmussen ofChampaign, Anthony (Tony) Rasmussen of Knoxville, TN, Derek Rasmussen of Villa Grove,, Julian Boswell of Stockton, CA, Dilan Rasmussen of Champaign; great grandchildren, Presley and Avery; sister, Judy Thomas of Arcola, Jeannie Manual of Botkins, OH; brother, John Rasmussen of St. Joseph; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 2 - 3:30 PM at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 Philo Road, Urbana, IL on Thursday November 16, 2017. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery at 1803 Coler Ave., Urbana, IL.
