Jerome Donald Fellmann, 83, of Urbana, died at 6:59 p.m., Saturday, May 29, 2010 at home.

All services are private. Renner-Wikoff Chapel & Crematory 1900 S. Philo Rd. Urbana is handling the arrangements.

Jerome Donald Fellmann was born June 28, 1926 in Chicago, IL a son of John and Charlotte Muehl Fellmann. He married Mary Jean Walter on September 18, 1948 in Chicago. She survives.

Survivors include a son James D. Fellmann of Sidney; a daughter Susan J. Reisenweaver of South Charleston, OH; four grandchildren and one great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and a grandson.

Dr. Fellmann received his PhD from the University of Chicago. He was Professor Emeritus at the U of I in the Department of Geography. He was employed by the U of I for 41 years.
