Jeremiah Christopher Aikman, 29, of Urbana passed away at 6:40 p.m. on Wednesday, August 17, 2016.

A Visitation will take place from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 21, 2016 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel in Urbana. Cremation rites will be accorded.

Jeremiah was born on August 10, 1987 to parents Eddie Aikman Jr. (Susan) of Urbana and Dianna Reidy (AJ Williams) of Urbana. They survive. Also surviving are his children; Stacey Nivison, Emily Messer and Noah Aikman. His sister, Kristina Kerkering (William) of Urbana, step sisters; Megan Kelley of East Dundee, IL, Breanna Kelley of Champaign, his maternal Grandpa William Reidy (Janet) and his paternal Grandma Peggy Carrothers, four nephews and one niece also survive him.

He was preceded in death by his maternal Grandma and his paternal Grandpa.

Jeremiah graduated with honors from St. Joseph Ogden High School and was awarded "Top Achiever" in his graduating class. He worked many jobs: construction, security and was a stage hand and worked maintenance at the Canopy Club for two years.

Jeremiah was a great conversationalist and cared about other people's happiness more than his own at times. He enjoyed writing poetry and showing off his tattoos. He liked to read, watch movies, work on puzzles, cross-words and working with his hands. He was a positive person and a wonderful brother. He loved his children and was so proud of them. He is going to be missed by all who knew and loved him.
