Jennifer Danielle Smith, 40, of Champaign died at 5:59 a.m. Sunday, August 14, 2011 at home.

A private memorial service will be held. Jennifer's family would like you to share your written memories or photographs of Jennifer and send them to her parents' address. Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

Jennifer was born on October 3, 1970 in Mattoon, the daughter of Stephen and DeeDee Waltrip Smith.

Survivors include her parents of Champaign, one brother; Joe (Lisa) Smith of Des Moines, Iowa, two sisters; Amanda (Glenn) Hansberry of Las Vegas, Nevada and Hayley (Mike) Pilat of Chicago, one niece and three nephews.

Jennifer attended Urbana schools and graduated from St. Charles High School in 1989.

She was a dietary aide at the Champaign County Nursing Home. Her greatest joy was brightening the days of others, especially the residents at the nursing home, her family and friends. She touched many lives and will be dearly missed.
