Jeffrey Daniels, 54, of Champaign, Illinois, passed away at 5:26 a.m., Sunday, July 24, 2016, at Carle foundation Hospital in Urbana. Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory is handling the cremation at their on-site crematory. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Jeff was born June 6, 1962, in Brook, Indiana to parents Eugene and Edith (Peterson) Daniels. His father preceded his death. His mother (of Savoy, Illinois) survives. Also surviving are sons, Zachary Daniels, of Madison, Wisconsin, Joseph Daniels, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and sister, Barbara Cook (Michael), of Champaign, Illinois.

After graduating high school, Jeff moved to Wales to attend Cardiff University, where he received his master's degree in journalism. He worked as a journalist for the Welsh Western Mail newspaper and as a freelance journalist for many years. Writing was not his only talent, as he also owned his own carpentry business in Wales, the Wood Floor Company. In his spare time, Jeff was an avid reader, golf enthusiast, a Cardinals fan, and a travel fanatic with a true sense of wanderlust.
