Doris "Jean" Patterson, 82, of Urbana, died 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 11 at Champaign County Nursing Home in Urbana.

Mrs. Patterson was born May 14, 1926 in Wyoming, Illinois, the daughter of Moses and Lucille Duvall Dison. She married Howard E. Patterson on April 10, 1955 in Urbana. He survives. Also surviving are two daughters; Donna Krutsinger (Mike) of Oakland, Cheryl Wilson Patterson of Champaign; a sister, Shirley Zeigler of Iowa and grandchildren; Joshua Wilson (Amy) of Tuscola and Dane Wilson of Bondville. She is preceded in death by brothers; Henson, Mack, Bill, Kenneth, twin brother, Dean Dison and sisters; Nina Dykeman, Minnie Sawyer, Ruth Kershaw and Evelyn Dison.

Mrs. Patterson was employed by University of Illinois at the Administration Building, Flossie Wiley School, Urbana and Folletts Bookstore.

Arrangements are being handled by Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd. Urbana, where the family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Monday, March 16. Funeral services will be at the funeral home at 11:00 AM Monday, Rev. Jean Nanney will officiate. Interment will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Champaign. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, the Champaign County Humane Society or to the Doris Jean Patterson Memorial Trust Fund for the benefit of her great grandchildren.
