On Monday, July 17, 2017, Janette (Jan) Rae Hamilton departed this life at Champaign Urbana Nursing and Rehabilitation in Savoy.

Her surviving family includes: daughter Cinnamon Middleton and son-in-law Cory Middleton of Danville, IL; sister Julie Shore Worley of Novato, CA; brother-in-law John Reinhart of Danville; nephew Bill Reinhart of Normal; and nephew Robert Reinhart of Chicago.

She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Elsie Shore of Urbana and her twin sisters Karen Reinhart and Sharon DuFrane of Danville and Plainfield.

Born on January 20, 1954, Jan attended Urbana schools, graduating from Urbana High School in 1972. She attended Parkland College and earned an Associate's degree in Word Processing in 1986. She worked at Collegiate Cap and Gown for over fifteen years, and as a telemarketer for over ten years. She was a member of the Champaign Church of Christ and a former member of First Baptist Church of Urbana.

Jan's interests included cooking, reading, exploring shops in rural Illinois, and collecting teacups. She loved to laugh, loved anything purple, and was always eager to try out new and old recipes.

A visitation will take place from 4-7 p.m. on Sunday, July 23, 2017 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel in Urbana. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 24, 2017 at the funeral home. Pastor Rick Smith will officiate. Burial will take place at Grandview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum following the funeral service.
