Janet Sears, 65, of Champaign passed away on Friday, June 6, 2014 at Champaign Urbana Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Savoy.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at Eastlawn Cemetery in Urbana.

Janet was born on October 5, 1948 in Champaign to parents Elby and Marilyn (Jolliff) Sears. They preceded her in death. Janet is survived by her uncle Ben Barham of Champaign, aunt Vesta Thompson of West Plains, Missouri, nieces, nephews, cousins and her three dogs Hyper, Brooke and Paige.

She attended Champaign Central High School and graduated in 1966. She worked as a secretary, accountant and a bookkeeper until she retired.

She belonged to the Dog Training Club of Urbana, where she made many friends. She enjoyed training and showing her dogs.
