Janet Cochrun, 89, of Urbana passed away at 9:40 a.m., Thursday, January 27, 2012 at Meadowbrook Health Center. Renner-Wikoff Chapel is handling arrangements.

Mrs. Cochrun was born December 7, 1922 in Lincoln, Nebraska to parents Elizabeth and Homer Goggins. She married Clarence Cochrun September 11, 1942 in Lincoln, Nebraska. He preceded her in death October 20, 1989. Survivors include daughter; Susan Switzer (Ed), of St. Charles, Missouri, son; Paul Cochrun, of Bakersfield, California, and granddaughter; Danielle Switzer, of St. Charles, Missouri. Janet was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers; Paul and Donald Goggins, and one son; Leonard A. Cochrun.

Mrs. Cochrun graduated high school in Nebraska. After they married, she and her husband moved to Glendale, California, where she worked as the Head Cashier for the Officers Club at the Norton Air Force Base. After retiring and moving to Clark-Lindsey Village, she joined the Welcome Club and was very active in Clark-Lindsey Committees. She also holds the distinction of being the first and only female pool champion at Clark-Lindsey Village.
