BEMENT, IL- James Donald Watson, 98, of Bement, IL, passed away at 4:00 P.M., February 19, 2012, at C-U Regional Rehab of Savoy, IL.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M., Friday, February 24, 2012 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana, IL, with burial at Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign, IL. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 23, from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.

Mr. Watson was born November 21, 1913, a son of William K. and Monora (Hooten) Watson. He married Phyllis Cafin in 1924 and she preceded him in death. He married Ruth L. Riley. She preceded him in death. He later married Lucille Cafin and she also preceded him in death.

Survivors include four sons, Kennard E. Watson of Urbana, Roger D. Watson of Citrus Heights, CA, Thomas A. Watson of Champaign, and Ernest E. Watson of Miami, Fla, and one daughter, Donna Orr of Urbana. 5 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three wives, a son, James Dwayne Watson, a daughter, Dorthy A. Watson, and four brothers, Dewey, Ray, Roy and Everett.

Mr. Watson worked in electrical maintenance for C.S. Johnson Co. in Champaign for 49 years. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Monticello and he enjoyed gardening and woodworking. He will be missed, especially by family, friends, and a special friend, Brenda Rucker.
