James L. Warner, 68 of Rantoul died at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, May 12, 2007 at Provena Covenant Medical Center, Urbana.

There will be a memorial gathering at 5:00 p.m. Saturday, June 2, 2007 at the American Legion Post #71 Urbana. Burial will be in Willowbrook Cemetery, Fisher. Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Warner was born on Dec. 12, 1938 in Champaign, the son of Leland Warner and Ann Armstrong Warner Barbour.

Survivors include his loving partner; Jane Savage of Rantoul, one son; Derek John Warner of Phoenix, Arizona, a daughter; Stacey Warner of Reno, Nevada, a sister; Patricia Warner of Rantoul and a granddaughter; Halley Warner of Reno, Nevada.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Warner graduated from Rantoul Township High School and retired from AT&T.

He was baptized in the First Christian Church and was a member of the American Legion Post #71, Urbana and he was an avid golfer.
