James A. Hicks 68 of Champaign died at 11:35 a.m. Friday, January 25, 2013 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, Urbana; the Rev. Connie Bandy will officiate. Burial will be in Stearns Cemetery, Fithian. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Hicks was born on April 17, 1944 in Armstrong, the son of Robert Pearl and Leatha Foltz Hicks. He married Janet Tillotson on June 7, 1969 in Danville, she survives.

Survivors include his Aunt; Jewell Hicks, two sisters-in-laws; Delores Sanders and Georgia Doyle and one brother-in-law; Roger Tillotson.

Mr. Hicks retired from the University of Illinois as a Building Service Worker.

He was protestant. He liked to watch television.
