James Edgar Brown 65 of Urbana died at 8:05 a.m. Friday, July 15, 2011 at home.

There will be no public services. Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Brown was born on June 26, 1946 in Champaign, the son of Lacy E. and Mildred Sanders Brown. He married Cheryl L. Marshall on July 25, 1969 in Urbana, she survives.

Also surviving are one daughter; Debra L. Brown of Urbana and one sister; Lyla Lou Crays of Champaign.

He was preceded in death by a brother; Robert.

Mr. Brown retired as a Postal Carrier in 2004.

He was a U.S. Marine veteran of the Vietnam Conflict, Methodist and a member of the AMVETS, Oddfellows and American Legion.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Champaign County Humane Society or Crisis Nursery.
