Obituary

Jacquelyn Ann Cox 89 of Champaign died Monday, January 14, 2013 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana. Graveside services will be held at a later date at Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign. Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Cox was born on July 26, 1923 in Peoria, the daughter of Axel and Ida M. Hensler Wildenradt. She married Martin James Cox on February 9, 1943 in Champaign; he died on April 27, 2001.

Survivors include her daughter; Diana Gregory of Jensen Beach, Florida and one brother, Charles Wildenradt of Peoria. Additional survivors also include her "adopted" family: daughter, Cindy and "adopted" grandchildren Misti and Trevis, as well as "adopted" son, Kevin.

She was preceded in death by her son, one sister and one brother.

Mrs. Cox studied and enjoyed interior decorating and worked in advertising for various newspapers, including the Urbana Courier and the News-Gazette. In addition, she and her husband had a life-long love of gardening and had belonged to the Audubon Society and the Champaign-Urbana Garden Club.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, the American Macular Degeneration Foundation, or the American Heart Association.

There are no words to describe how deeply she will be missed by those who loved her or by those she loved.
