URBANA, IL- Jacqueline Rose Miller, 80, of Urbana, passed away at 8:10 A.M., Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at the Champaign County Nursing Home in Urbana.

Private Memorial Services were held. Renner-Wikoff Chapel & Crematory, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana, was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Miller was born February 23, 1929 at Champaign, IL, a daughter of Tom and Josephine (Guzzo) Merlo. Survivors include a son, Keith Cardinale of Fairmount, IL; two daughters, Karen Emert of Sugar Land, TX and Kristie Fluder of Itasca, IL.; 8 grandchildren, a brother, Frank Merlo of Urbana, and two sisters, Margaret Hartrick of Urbana, and Betsy Zulalian of Brockport, N.Y. also survive.

Mrs. Miller was a graduate of Urbana High School and the University of Illinois. She was a middle school teacher for Urbana School District #116 for 25 years and she was a member of the N.E.A. and I.E.A. for many years.
