Isabel Rosiland Brown Harshbarger peacefully passed away on November 24th, 2015 at Presence Hospital in Urbana, Illinois, at the age of 84.

Isabel was the daughter of Carrie Needham Brown and Hugh Alexander Brown, born November 25th, 1930, in Urbana, Illinois, the third of four children. She graduated from Urbana High School in 1948, an Alpha Psi Omega honors student and co-valedictorian. Isabel attended the University of Illinois, graduating in 1952 as Phi Beta Kappa with a degree in Chemistry. She went on to Northwestern University and earned a degree in Laboratory Technology in 1954. Isabel married David Harshbarger, her high school sweetheart, on August 8, 1953 in Urbana; they were married for 62 years.

She is survived by her husband, David (82) and their three children, Robert Hugh (58) of Redmond, WA; Carl David (55) of St. Joseph, IL; Carol Helen Sampson (50) of Indianapolis, IN; seven grandchildren and her great grandson.

Isabel is also survived by her sisters Jane Alice Myers (88) of Glendale, WI, and Emily Ann Clemons (82) of Mill Valley, CA, and was preceded in death by her brother Hugh Needham Brown.

There will be a visitation Sunday, November 29th, at the Renner Wikoff Funeral Home in Urbana from 2:00-4:00, and a service Monday, November 30th at the Renner Wikoff Funeral Home, at 11:00AM, with graveside service following.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to WILL Radio Station, the American Heart Association, or the American Cancer Society.
