Isaac Shane Mapson Jr. 40 of Champaign died at 10:58 a.m. Monday, August 28, 2017 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 1, 2017 at Meadowbrook Community Church, Champaign; Pastor Ron Strack will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Mayview. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. Friday at the church. Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, Urbana is in charge of arrangements.

Isaac (Shane) was born on October 27, 1976 in Champaign, the son of Isaac and Sandra Proffitt Mapson Sr. He married Aimee Leitch on July 17, 2010 in Champaign, she survives.

Also surviving are his mother of Champaign, one son; Isaac Shane Mapson III of Champaign and Chillicothe, one daughter; Kensley Patricia Mapson of Champaign, one brother; Travis Lloyd Mapson of Carpentersville and two sisters; Tammy Mapson-Torres of Carpentersville and Twana Leshoure of Waterloo, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Isaac (Shane) was a Union painter and drywall finisher.

He attended Meadowbrook Community Church, Champaign.

Isaac (Shane) loved his family the most and enjoyed football, fishing and camping.
