Irene P. Smith 91 of Urbana died at 9:54 p.m. Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at home.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 21, 2011 at Old Union Cemetery, Clay County. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Friday, May 20, 2011 at the Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, Urbana.

Mrs. Smith was born on May 21, 1919 in Urbana, the daughter of Thomas and Oral Hord Pell. She married Lawrence W. (Spud) Smith on September 2, 1942; he died on October 18, 1980.

Survivors include one son; Tom Smith of Urbana, one daughter; Meredith Smith of Urbana, two grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Mrs. Smith liked to mow.
