Irene "Robin" Riggs of Champaign, Illinois, 55, died Saturday December 13, 2014. She was widely known as the wittiest and funniest person among her family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at First Presbyterian Church of Urbana, 602 W. Green St. A reception will follow the service.

Robin, daughter of Robert and Joyce Riggs, and sister of Kendrick Riggs, attended Wilder Grade School and Ballard High School, class of 1977. She received a BA in Studio Art from Kenyon College where she met her husband of 27 years, Peter Goldsmith. She also received a MA in Instructional Design from Ohio State University. Robin was the loving mother of Irene Margaret Goldsmith, 20, and Shim Henry Riggs Goldsmith, 16. She was an active artist with a studio in the historic Lincoln Building in downtown Champaign, who exhibited and sold her work.
