Inez Belle Thompson, 90, of Urbana died at 3:25 p.m. Saturday, December 27, 2008, at the home of her daughter near Neoga.

Funeral services will be at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana, 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 3, 2009. Pastors Terry Strom and Bruce Osborne will officiate. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, January 2, 2009 at the funeral home. Interment will be at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Champaign.

Mrs. Thompson was born November 24, 1918 at Boone, Iowa, the daughter of Robert and Virginia Bullman Watson. She married Marvin Charles Thompson May 26, 1934. He preceded her in death on May 2, 1993. She is survived by her daughters, Virginia Johnson of Neoga, Judy E. Golden of Panama City, Florida; sons, Paul L. Thompson of Des Moines, Iowa, Larry D. Thompson of Pahrump, Nevada; sister, Edna Parker of Boone, Iowa; twenty nine grandchildren, fifty five great-grandchildren, twenty one great-great grandchildren and one great-great-great grandchild. She is preceded in death by sons, Marvin Thompson, Jr., Louis Eugene Thompson; brother, Robert Watson; sister, Ann Shellhart and granddaughter, Deborah Thompson.

Mrs. Thompson attended Boone, Iowa School and was a cook at the University Of Illinois for eleven years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Urbana and the Fraternal Order of Eagles # 3075, Champaign. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed craft making. Memorials may be made to Carle Hospice Memorial Program or to the donor's choice.
