Inez Ogden, 92 of Champaign passed away at 11:20 A. M. on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 peacefully at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Monday, April 6, 2015 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel in Urbana. There will be a visitation prior to the funeral from 11:00 A.M.-12:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Eastlawn Burial Park.

Inez was born on April 15, 1922 in Urbana to parents John and Ruby (Gepner) Dyson. They preceded her in death. On February 11, 1945 she married Russell Ogden in Urbana; he passed away on February 27, 1991. Also preceding her in death was her son, Rick Ogden, two brothers and one sister.

Inez is survived by her children, Karen (Bill) Williams of Mansfield, Connie Ogden of Champaign, John Ogden of Urbana, and Linda Ogden of Urbana, four grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Ogden was a graduate of Urbana High School and although she worked different jobs throughout the years her most important job was taking care of her family and the household.

Inez and her husband Russell met at the Elmwood roller skating rink in Urbana. They skated beautifully as a couple to their own choreography for many years and with their five children. Inez and Russell also enjoyed dancing and after his passing she learned ballroom and country 2-step which she enjoyed with her children and friends. Inez lived many years on the farm before her family moved to town. She called herself 'a country bumpkin' and had a deep love for animals. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting afghans.
