Howard S. Mack 84 of Urbana died at 8:24 p.m. Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Funeral services will be at 12:00 p.m. Monday, January 4, 2016 at the Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, Urbana; Rev. Mike Mack will officiate. Burial will be in Eastlawn Cemetery, Urbana. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Mr. Mack was born on January 25, 1931 in Champaign, the son of Albert Allen and Hannah Keagle Mack. He married Barbara Arthur (wife of 65 yrs) on May 6, 1950 in Urbana, she survives. Also surviving are four children; Robert Mack of Urbana, James (Tina) Mack of Monticello, Theresa (Keith) Harris of Urbana and Sandra (Don) Rector of Urbana, one brother; Walter Mack of Urbana, eleven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and one great- great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister; five brothers and one grandson.

Mr. Mack served in the US Navy from 1949-1950 and was aboard the US ship President Jackson.

In his early years He worked as a truck driver and house painter then he worked for the railroad from 1965 - 1985 and when he retired he was a self-employed truck driver.

He attended Curtis Road Church of God in Champaign.

Mr. Mack enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, house painting and music.
