Herbert D. (Bud) Paye 88 of Urbana died at 3:50 p.m. Saturday, July 13, 2013 at the Champaign County Nursing Home, Urbana.

There will be no services. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Decatur. Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Paye was born on October 4, 1924 in Peoria, the son of Herbert D. and Ruby Emma Lessig Paye Sr. He married Patsy R. Miller on May 7, 1949 in Decatur, she survives.

Also surviving are one daughter; Candace (Gordon) Boehm of Danville, one son; Gilbert B. Paye of Urbana and two grandchildren; Gordon Matthew Boehm and Jason David Boehm both of Danville.

He was preceded in death by a sister; Jacqeline R. Suhomske. Mr. Paye was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII having served in Belgium and France.

He retired as a Sales Representative at Nabisco.

Mr. Paye was a member of St. Paul's Methodist Church in Tucson, Arizona.

He enjoyed reading, bridge and traveling.

Mr. and Mrs. Paye lived in Tuscon, Arizona for 13 years.
