Obituary

Helen Carolyn "Red" Kelley, 76, of Urbana, died at 7:53 p.m., Saturday, March 26, 2011 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana. Memorial services will be held at 5:00 p.m., Thursday, March 31, 2011 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana. The Rev. Mike Smith will officiate.

Mrs. Kelley was born on September 15, 1934 in Harrisville, West Virginia to parents Helen (Waller) and John Davis, Jr. She married Cloyce Kelley on October 17, 1969 in Urbana. He preceded her in death on June 15, 2008.

Survivors include sons; Joel Hall, of Idaho, John Hall (Darcy), of Urbana, Roger Kelley (Sara Shawback), of Dewey, daughter; Linda Boyce (Tim), of Mascoutah, step-sons; C.E. Kelley, Jr., of Arizona, Ray Kelley, of Oklahoma, step-daughters; Kay Lynn Roseland (Bob), of Iowa, Lori Branine, of Kansas, sisters; Janet Stefanik-Brandt (Joe), of Ohio, Rebecca Glass (Chip), of Washington, brothers; John Davis (Nada), of Arizona, Roger Davis (Marge), of Ohio, Kurt Davis (Tami), of Ohio, nine grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Eleanor Haynes.

Carolyn worked as a bartender at the Embassy Tavern for more than 20 years. She also enjoyed garage sale-ing.
