Helen Gene Hannah, 88, of Urbana passed away at 3:32 p.m., Friday, May 13th, 2016 at Carle Foundation Hospital. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 19th at Blue Ridge Township Cemetery in Mansfield, Illinois. Pastor Richard McGuire will officiate.

Helen was born April 23rd, 1928 in Urbana, Illinois to parents Dale and Florence (Dunbar) Melson. Her mother and stepfather, George Retzolk, raised her. Helen married Forrest Hannah February 18th, 1945 in Champaign, Illinois. He preceded her in death November 28th, 2010.

Mrs. Hannah is survived by daughters: Janice Hannah, of Tolono, Illinois, Jacquelyn Hannah, of Urbana, Illinois, and Jill Norfleet (Philip), of Monticello, Illinois. Four grandchildren: Mike McKee (Tricia) of Little Elm, Texas, Scott McKee (Missy) of St. Joseph, IL, Jamie Hannah of Monticello, IL and Jenny Matthews (Luke) of Tolono, IL. Nine great-grandchildren also survive Helen. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Mildred Burke, and daughter and son-in-law Jeannine and John McKee.
