Hazel Maude Fleming, 97 of Urbana died 4:15 a.m. Tuesday, September 16, at Champaign County Nursing Home in Urbana. Funeral services will be at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 2200 S. Philo Rd., Urbana at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 19, with visitation one hour prior to service time. Pastor Bob Rasmus will officiate. Interment will be at Patterson Cemetery in Saint Joseph. Renner-Wikoff Chapel, Urbana is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Fleming was born December 8, 1910 in Urbana, the daughter of Robert Amos and Ada Florence (Hogan) Smith. She married Arnom Richard Williams in 1928 and he preceded her in death in 1936. She later married Seth Albert Fleming on June 20, 1947 and he preceded her in death on October 12, 1970.

She is survived by her daughters, Muryl J. Ohms, Buryl M. Williams and Lois Doreene Rushing all of Urbana; brothers, Bill Smith of Mahomet and Bobby Smith; twelve grandchildren, twenty five great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by husbands, one son and three brothers.

Mrs. Fleming was a clerk for Index Notion in Villa Grove. She later was department manager of Collegiate Cap & Gown. She was a member of Villa Grove Christian Church, Villa Grove VFW Auxiliary and enjoyed sewing. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Matthew Lutheran Church.
