Harry R. Wetenkamp, 97, of Champaign passed away at 5:30 a.m. on Monday, June 13, 2016 at Presence Covenant Medical Center, Urbana.

Per Harry's request, there will not be any services.

He was born on January 25, 1919 in Forest Park, IL to parents Otto and Lillie (Rohlfs) Wetenkamp. On June 19, 1942 he married Kay Stateler in Troy, NY. She passed away on March 30, 2011. Two sisters also preceded him in death.

Harry is survived by his daughter Jill Randall (Gene) of Champaign, his son Scott Wetenkamp (Jean) of Los Altos, CA and three grandchildren, Neil Wetenkamp (Vivian) of Shanghai, China, Troy Randall (Amy) of Niles, IL and Scott Randall (Rachel) of Champaign.

Harry was a Professor Emeritus at the U of I, Department of Mechanical Science & Engineering. Retiring on March 1, 1981 after thirty-five years.
