Harry August Troyer, 83, of Urbana, died 11:45 p.m. Thursday, February 26, 2009, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.

Mr. Troyer was born January 18, 1926 at La Porte, Indiana, the son of Harvey and Jenny (Jechardt) Troyer.

He is survived by half sisters, Joan C. Young of Burbank and Sandra Hamilton of Warsaw, Indiana and friend, Dan VanOrden of Urbana.

Mr. Troyer attanded school in Mishawaka, Indiana, at Bartel Middle School and graduated from Mishawaka High School. He was a Seaman First Class in the US Navy during WWII and was an orthopedic technician at South Bend Memorial Hospital for many years. Services will be held at a later date and burial will be at Highland Cemetery, North Judson, Indiana. Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana, IL is in charge of local arrangements.
