Harold E. Vietor 87 of Mahomet died at 9:37 a.m. Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 30, 2015 at the Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, Urbana. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Danville National Cemetery.

Mr. Vietor was born on September 7, 1927 in Paris, the son of Archie and Lola Haneig Vietor. He married Mary Jane Moxley on August 22, 1953 in Uniontown, PA, she survives.

Also surviving are one daughter; Leilani Vietor of St. Paul, MN, two sons; Brett Vietor of Peoria, Jerry Vietor of Stockton, CA, five grandchildren; Brandon Vietor, Danielle Vietor, Mick Vietor, Erica Vietor, Jimmy Vietor and his dog; Emmitt.

He was preceded in death by one son; Scott and one brother; Glen.

Mr. Vietor was a U.S. Navy veteran retiring after 20 years and then he worked for the Illinois Central Railroad where he retired after 20 years.

He was a member of Pheasants Forever and he loved to hunt and fish.
