Harold (Red) Tincher, 50 of Urbana passed away to be with his Lord, Jesus at 12:15 a.m. Friday, February 27, 2009 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, Urbana. The Reverends Gary Gritton and Sim Hassler will officiate. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Mr. Tincher was born on April 9, 1958 in Urbana, the son of Junior and Helen Gulliford Tincher.

Survivors include his parents of Urbana, one son; Joshua Tincher of Murphysboro, Tennessee, one brother; Bruce (Bobbie) Tincher of Urbana, one nephew; Eli Tincher and one niece; Sarah Tincher both of Urbana.

Mr. Tincher was a self employed painter.

He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Urbana. While residing in Tennessee he attended Antioch Baptist Church, where he was warmly welcomed by the church family.

Mr. Tincher enjoyed the Cubs, Illini, writing songs and fishing.
