RINEY, Harold Eugene, 88 years of age (April 5, 1928 to February 10, 2017) passed away at his home.

He is survived by his wife of 70+ years, Elizabeth L. Malloch Riney and five children; Linda L. Myers, Laura L. Riney, Michael E. (Thomasine) Riney, Carol A. Smith and Marc D. (Brenda) Riney.

He is survived by one grandchild, Jaimy (Chris) Davis and three great grandchildren, Kenneth Black, Corbin Black and Sadie Davis and by his sister, Barbara A. Powell. Harold is also survived by his loving canine companion, Millie.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Anna and Lee Riney, and a brother, Lester, a grandchild, Carrie Ann Riney, and a son-in-law, Dennis Smith.

Harold was born in Urbana, Illinois and lived and worked there his whole life, retiring from J.M. Jones in 1990. Harold was passionate about old Volkswagen's and Model A's. He collected cars and loved hanging out with his Model A Club friends and going on their road trips and activities. He was one of the founders of the Edge-Scott Volunteer Fire Department and the first Fire Chief.

In lieu of flowers and other expressions of sympathy the family requests donations be made to the Humane Society.
