URBANA, IL- Harold Robert Mikesell, 57, of Urbana, passed away at 11:12 A.M, July 1, 2010. He was born April 23, 1953 to Robert & Mary Mikesell in Decatur, IL. Harold attended Warrensburg High School. He worked in various trades and industries, which enabled him to meet and connect with so many others. In his younger years, his exuberance for life was highlighted with his athleticism. From the age of 15, he could be spotted in local papers for his outstanding bowling performance. In his last years, his passion turned to NASCAR, CUBS, BEARS and, of course, the Fighting Illini. Due to his failing health, his passion turned to Wednesday Wings Friday Night Races and helping (or getting in the way) Pat with his car. To his family and friends he will always be known for his amazing mac n cheese.

Harold is survived by his two sons, Chad & Troy,; 5 grandchildren, Hailey, Taylor, Caleb, Cerise & Ella. He also leaves behind his sister, Debbie Weeks (Kerry), a nephew, Todd Huffman and nieces, Tiffany Huffman & Brittany Weeks. A special thanks goes out to his cousins and their families for keeping him going long after his body wanted to quit.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, July 8, 2010 at Eastlawn Cemetery, Urbana, IL. The family requests casual attire. Condolences may be offered at www.renner-wikoffchapel.com.
