Harold L. Grimes, 77 of Urbana died 1:55 p.m. Friday, August 15, at Champaign County Nursing Home in Urbana.

Memorial Services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 19 at the First Church of the Nazarene, 2403 W. Kirby, Champaign, with interment at Maple Grove Cemetery, Farmer City. Pastor James High will officiate. Arrangements are being handled by Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana.

Mr. Grimes was born February 18, 1931 in Farmer City, the son of John and Mildred (Furtney) Grimes. He married Anna Mae Dodge on September 3, 1956 in Champaign. She preceded him in death October, 1999.

He is survived by his daughter, Melody Neumann (Brad) of Saint Joseph, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He is also preceded in death by a sister.

Mr. Grimes graduated from Farmer City High School and was a bank teller for Champaign National Bank for fifty years. He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene, Champaign and enjoyed going to antique shows and estate sales. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Church of the Nazarene, Champaign.
