Harold Green, 88, of Urbana passed away at his home Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at 6:35 a.m. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, October 17, 2016 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana, Illinois. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at 9:00 a.m., with Pastor Kent Hollis officiating. Burial will be held at Eastlawn Burial Park in Urbana.

Harold was born February 8, 1928 in Urbana, Illinois to parents Bert and Cora (Smith) Green. He married Genevieve Walls September 8, 1949 in Henderson, Kentucky. She survives. Three daughters also survive: Judy Sunderman (Mark) of Cordova, Tennessee, Kathy Smith (William) of Lancaster, Missouri, and Susan Taylor, of Longmont, Colorado. Harold is also survived by brothers, Alfred Green (Shirley), and Jimmy Green (Linda), all of Urbana, Illinois, and six grandchildren: Mark Sunderman Jr. and Gabrielle Sunderman, of Laramie, Wyoming, Catherine Davis (Kevin), Benjamin Taylor, and William Taylor, of Longmont, Colorado, and Joshua Smith, of Lancaster, Missouri. Harold was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings, Robert Green, Margaret "Sis" Wildman, and Marion Green.

Mr. Green served in the Army Air Force during the Korean Conflict. After his honorable discharge, he worked as a union electrician for the Local #601. One of his favorite past times was spending the morning with his friends at the "Philo Rd. McDonald's Coffee Club."
