Glennis Anne Pagliuso, 82, passed away at 5:38 A.M., Sunday, September 7, 2014 at Bickford Cottage (Mary B's), Champaign, IL. She was born in Dexter, Maine to her parents, the late John and Lenora McGilvery Bonneau. A graduate of Chelsea Memorial Nursing School, Chelsea, MA, Glennis touched immeasurable lives during her 40 year nursing career.
Glennis enjoyed gardening, singing, dancing, cooking, waterskiing, the Southwest, Monet paintings, Boston's North Shore beaches, coffee, donuts and blueberry ice cream. She had a great sense of humor and sparkly, blue eyes. Glennis will be missed by all who knew her.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Gina Pagliuso of Urbana IL and her partner Jeannie Covert, her son Anthony Pagliuso and his wife, Revital, of Newton MA, her dear granddaughters Lia, Shiri and Dana Pagliuso, her sister Jean Flewelling of Epping, NH, her brother Roland Bonneau of Chelsea MA, her longtime friends Gladys Kalapinski and Doris Langone as well as many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Jackie Ruksznis.
A Reception will be held from 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, Urbana IL. A time for sharing memories of Glennis will begin at 6:00 P.M. Future memorial service/burial arrangements in the Boston and Dexter areas are pending.
The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the incredible staff (past and present) at Bickford Cottage (Mary B's) and Carle Hospice for the dignity, love and respect shown to Glennis through the years.
Memorial donations may be made in Glennis' name to The Walk to End Alzheimer's at act.alz.org. or to any musical program of your choice. Participation in your local Walk to End Alzheimer's would be a wonderful way to honor Glennis' memory.
