Gladys E. Taylor, 100 of Savoy formerly of Urbana
passed away at 4:54 a.m. on Wednesday, November 5,
2025, at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born on March 25, 1925 in Philo, IL the daughter
of Charles & Carrie (Ems) Dilley. She married Robert
Taylor on December 29, 1945, in Urbana. Robert passed
away on February 25, 1991.
Gladys is survived by her son- Alan (Paula) Taylor of
Rantoul; daughter-Karen (Nick) Kresin of Monticello:
grandchildren-Kimi Taylor of Rantoul; Daren
(Jenny)Kresin of Monticello; Kyle (Hollie)Kresin of
Bement; great grandchildren Khloe Kresin, Aiden Kresin,
Archie Kresin and one on the way. She is preceded by her
parents, husband, brother Erwin Dilley and sister
Alpharetta Preston
Gladys graduated from Urbana High School in 1943. She
was a devoted wife and mother. Gladys enjoyed being
with family, traveling and volunteering at Carle Auxiliary
for 20+ years. She loved working in the yard, going to all
her grandchildren's events and watching Illini Basketball
and Football. Visiting Disney World with family was a
special time for her. Gladys was a member of First United
Methodist Church in Urbana.
Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November
12, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900
Philo Road, Urbana, IL 61802. Visitation will be from 11-
1:00 pm at the funeral home. Rev. Robert Freeman will be
officiating. Burial at Locust Grove Cemetery, Philo, IL.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist
Church, Urbana or Centerville Methodist Church, White
