Gladys M. Sinn, 93 of Paxton formerly of Roberts died at 5:40 a.m. Sunday, July 13, 2014 at the Illinois Knights Templar Home, Paxton.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 17, 2014 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Melvin; Rev. John M. Brennan officiating. Burial will be in Lyman Township Cemetery, Roberts. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, Urbana is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Sinn was born on April 4, 1921 in Buckley, the daughter of Wilbert and Sophia Hilgendorf King, she married Robert Sinn on May 25, 1940 in Buckley, and he died on January 28, 1991.

Survivors include one son; Kenneth Victor (Jayne) Sinn of Melvin, three daughters; Mary Ann (Everett) Landrus of Paxton, Marsha Lou Smith of Rankin and Karen Sue (Tim) Nuss of Roberts, twelve grandchildren, five step grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and two sisters-in-laws; Doris King of Buckley and Julia King of Wheaton.

She was preceded in death by two sons; Charles Lee and Robert Dean, and three brothers; Harold King, Myron King and Don King.

Mrs. Sinn was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Melvin, American Legion Auxiliary #641, Roberts, the Ladies Circle at the church, Sunday school teacher, Lucky 14 Club, crafts for East Bay Bible Camp in Bloomington, and a Girl Scout leader for many years, Harmonettes singing group.

She was known for her deep faith, love for her family and patience. In early years she enjoyed gardening and flowers.
