Gladys Marie Barrowman, 96 of Urbana died at 3:28 a.m. Thursday, May 10, 2018 at OSF Heart of Mary Medical Center, Urbana.

Memorial Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 14 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana.  The Rev. Richard McGuire will officiate.  Private burial will be at Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield.

Mrs. Barrowman was born May 2, 1922 in Champaign, the daughter of Joseph and Florence (Rawley) Lustig.  She married Alexander Barrowman, Jr. on September 6, 1947 at Chanute Air Force Base, Rantoul.  He preceded her in death on July 25, 2011.  She is survived by her children, Robert A. Barrowman (Connie) of Mahomet, Sherry L Barrowman (Randy) of Decatur, Gary E. Barrowman (Mary Alice) of Farmer City, Diane K. Barrowman (Dave) of Naperville, a brother, Robert Lustig (Terry) of Urbana, two grandchildren and four great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her spouse, a son, Duane, brothers, Joe and Jim and her parents.

Mrs. Barrowman is a graduate of Champaign High School.  She was a loving homemaker and a Teachers Aid for Urbana Public Schools.  She was a member of AMVETS, a Sunday School Teacher and a Cub Scout Den Mother.  She enjoyed sewing, needlework and reading.
