Georgia Frances Edgar, 82 of Westville formerly of Urbana died at 5:55 a.m. Friday, April 06, 2007 at home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, April 12, 2007 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, Urbana; the Rev. Jim Hopper will officiate. Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Champaign. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Edgar was born on March 20, 1925 in Champaign, the daughter of George Roy and Delora Elizabeth McWhorter McBride. She married Robert A. Edgar on August 10, 1947 in Champaign; he died on April 8, 2002.

Survivors include a son: Scott A. Edgar of Springfield, two daughters: Christine E. Fourez of Danville and Diane M. Fruth of Wadesville, Indiana, one sister: Sarah Elizabeth McBride of Indianapolis, Indiana, six grandchildren: Allyson, Clay, Carrie, Kim, Ryan and Stephanie, and three great grandchildren: Noah, Elijah and Chelsea.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

Mrs. Edgar worked as a secretary at the Kansas Farm Bureau, Southeastern IL College and the First United Methodist Church in Harrisburg then as a clerk at the University of Illinois.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Danville and enjoyed reading, sewing and playing bridge.
