George Nelson Anglin 75 of Deland died at 8:14 a.m. Monday, October 10, 2016 at home.

There will be no public services. Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, Urbana is in charge of arrangements.

George was born on June 11, 1941 in Champaign, the son of Francis Wayne and Eva Belle Hatter Anglin. He married Shirley Randall on September 26, 1998 in West Frankfurt, Illinois; she survives. Also surviving are four children; Melinda (Steve) Palmisano of Fithian, Nelson (Peggy) Anglin of Mahomet, Francis (Cindy) Anglin of Wildwood, Missouri and Rhonda (Dave) Mayfield of Mahomet, one brother; Dennis Anglin of Lincoln, eleven grandchildren and two great granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by two sons; George Jr. and Richard, two sisters; Rosetta and Frances and one great grandson; Aaron Jr.

George retired as a journeyman lineman for Illinois Power after many years.

He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion, Urbana Sportsman Club.

George loved to watch and feed the birds, country music, dancing, was Cardinal fan and loved sports.
