Garnet Stutz, 91, of Sidney, passed away at 10:05 pm Sunday June 16, 2013 at the Champaign County Nursing Home. Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Countryside Methodist Church in Sidney, with the funeral service following at 2:00 pm. Mrs. Stutz was born June 30, 1921 in Sidell, Vermilion County, a daughter of Fay and Myrtle Mae Crisp Comer. She married Donald Stutz on July 9, 1940, in Fairmount, Vermilion County, he died April 14, 2004. She is survived by her daughter, Janet Smith, Mahomet, five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brother, a daughter, a granddaughter and a great-granddaughter.
