Gail Ellis, 57, of Mahomet passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2014 with her beloved dog, Bailey.

A private family service will be held.

Gail was born on May 4, 1957 in Newcastle upon Tyne, England to parents Robert and Rita (Elliott) Anderson. On August 17, 1990 Gail married Michael Ellis in Morpeth, England. Also surviving are her two daughters, Natalie and Danielle Ellis, both of Mahomet, and one brother Colin Anderson of Devon, England.

Gail graduated from Walbottle High School in Newcastle, England. After coming to the United States she worked for the University of Illinois for twenty years. Gail was an avid reader and gardener and loved her cats and dogs. Her spare time was mainly spent following her daughters around golf courses or the globe. Much loved by all of her family on both sides of the Atlantic and will be greatly missed by all.
