Frederick C. "Ted" Brash, 93, of Urbana, passed away at 11:30 A.M., Friday August 28, 2009 at the Meadowbrook Health Center, Urbana.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at the Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana, IL. Rev. Michael Smith will officiate. Burial will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery, Urbana. Military rites will be accorded by Champaign VFW Post 5520. Visitation will be held from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Brash was born October 2, 1915 at Paxton, IL, a son of Charles and Lluella Coppenbarger Brash. He married Winifred Mary "Winnie" Barclay on September 21, 1946 at Macomb, IL. She preceded him in death on April 5, 2002. Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife and a sister, Edna Brash Frick.

Mr. Brash attended Urbana schools and graduated from the University of Illinois in 1938. He and his wife owned and operated Brash Flower Shop in Urbana for many years. He was a past active member of First United Methodist Church in Champaign and he enjoyed flowers, traveling, sailing and watching sports, especially the U of I and the Chicago Cubs. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Parkinson Disease Assoc. or to the donor's choice.
