Frances Claree Huskisson, age 99, of Newman, formerly of Champaign, died 12:05 p.m. Sunday, Apr. 8, 2007, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wed., Apr. 11 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana with burial at Prairie View Cemetery, Savoy. Rev. Lee Galbraith will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tues. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Huskisson was born April 15, 1907 in Newton, IA, the daughter of Arthur and Flora Blair Elliott. She married Dorman "Mose" Huskisson on Oct. 31, 1936 in Champaign. He preceded her in death on Apr. 19, 1995. She is survived by daughters; Betty Bishop of Newman, Evelyn Darling of Westhampton Beach, N.Y., sisters; Maybell Wood of Chillicothe, MO, Edith Shinneman of Tucson, AZ; eighteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.

Mrs. Huskisson owned and operated student buildings in the campus area on Green, Healey and Columbia Streets in Champaign for many years. She was a member of Pennsylvania Ave. Baptist Church, Urbana and enjoyed crocheting and reading. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
