Obituary

Floyd E. Fisher 69 of Champaign died at 7:55 p.m. Thursday, April 23, 2015 at Presence Covenant Medical Center, Urbana.

Memorial services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Monday, April 27, 2015 at the Faith Church, 2111 North Willow Road, Urbana, Rev. Marsh Jones and Rev. Suzi Deeters officiating. A reception will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Monday at the Church. Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Fisher was born on February 16, 1946 in Ottumwa, Iowa, the son of Carl and Mary Fisher. He married Rosemary Felkner on June 17, 1967 in Urbana, she survives.

Also surviving are three daughters; Tracy (Jim) Wilson of Champaign, Stacy (Brian) Uebelhoer of Mahomet, Kacie (James) Fisher-Wood of Champaign, one son; Floyd (Tami) Fisher II of Villa Grove, four brothers, Pete Fisher of Arkansas, Kenny Fisher, Richard Fisher and Anthony Fisher all of Iowa, three sisters; Caroline Bates of Arkansas, Maggie Horn of Missouri and Teresa Spray of Florida, eight grandchildren, Audralee (Ryan) Conlon, Jamiee Wilson, Jessica Wilson, Colson and Owen Uebelhoer, Alyssa and Alexys Fisher, and Addison Fisher and two great grandchildren; Parker Wilson and TJ Conlon.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Marylynn Schiedel.

Mr. Fisher retired as a firefighter from Chanute Air Force Base, Rantoul.

He was a member of Faith Church, Urbana and Cowboy Church of Deland.

Mr. Fisher was a member of the Eagles, American Legion and the VFW. He enjoyed playing music with his band 16th Ave., bingo and playing poker.
